Punch Brothers - January/February 2015 Relix Issue
The January/February 2015 Relix issue features our Punch Brothers cover story and much more! After taking time off to focus on their other projects, the members of Punch Brothers reconvened during the summer of 2014 to record a new studio album. Longtime champion T Bone Burnett produced The Phosphorescent Blues, guiding the quintet toward a palette of folk-pop sounds and even convincing them to add a drummer for the first time. Stacey Anderson traveled from coast to coast to drink, bowl and converse with the band members as they continued to win over new fans—most notably an audience of young, urban listeners who never imagined that they would enjoy any form of bluegrass music.
This issue also contains additional articles and interviews with Jackson Browne, Gov’t Mule, Mike Rutherford, The Decemberists, alt-J, Big Gigantic, Pond, Twin Peaks, Butch Walker, Dan Berkowitz, Richie Furay, The Budos Band, Butch Walker, Mariachi El Bronx, Danny Clinch, Karl Denson, Leftover Salmon and more!
