The September 2015 Relix issue features our Gary Clark Jr. cover story and much more! Gary Clark Jr. set the rock and blues worlds ablaze when he emerged with his major-label debut in 2012. In September, after a summer of major appearances at festivals such as Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza, an opening slot for The Rolling Stones and an extended European run, Clark will follow it up with The Story of Sonny Boy Slim. He wrote, produced and arranged the new record, while also performing most of the instruments. Before heading out on an arena tour with Foo Fighters, Clark shares the story of how he pushed back against expectations and stereotypes to realize the full embodiment of his expansive musical vision.
