Eno's ambient work has always been about threshold states, from the hospital room inspiration behind *Discreet Music* to the generative systems of *Music For Airports*, and Wolfe brings her own restless approach to format and form, having previously pressed music onto materials ranging from recycled rain to a deck of cards. Together they've built a trilogy that treats the studio less as a recording space and more as a philosophical instrument.
