Brian Eno and Beatie Wolfe – Luminal (CD)

Brian Eno's ambient explorations stretch back to the late 1970s, and Beatie Wolfe has long pushed at the edges of how music is experienced and delivered. Their collaboration here finds two artists who both treat the physical and conceptual vessel of a release as part of the work itself, not an afterthought. The "Electric-Country-Dream" territory they've staked out sits well outside either artist's established comfort zone, which is exactly the point.
