Coco Montoya came up learning the blues from two of its greatest living practitioners, Albert Collins and John Mayall, and that apprenticeship never stopped informing his playing. Decades into a solo career built on relentless touring, hearing him finally document his working band in the studio captures something raw that studio records often miss, the sound of musicians who have logged serious highway miles together.

A career-defining album bursting with Montoya’s fierce guitar and passion-laden vocals, and the first to feature his long-time road band. Thirteen tracks of searing blues, soulful R&B and high-energy rock & roll include ten originals, five co-written by Coco, and include guest appearances by Lee Roy Parnell, and Ronnie Baker Brooks. Co-produced by Grammy Award-winner Tony Braunagel (Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal) and Jeff Paris (Keb’ Mo’, Bill Withers).
