Released in 2007 on Capitol Records, Our Love to Admire marked Interpol's major label debut and found the band expanding their sonic palette with orchestral strings and a fuller, more polished production than anything they'd attempted before. The tension between that lush ambition and Carlos Dengler's signature bass lines gives the record a distinct emotional weight that rewarded patient listeners willing to meet the band on new ground.

Defined by their post-punk starkness coupled with new wave grooves, Interpol helped reinvigorate New York City's flagging music scene and birthed a whole decade's worth of bands that followed in their flamboyant footsteps.
