For the head who has been following Chicano Batman through every shift in sound and color, this page collects the band's catalog across vinyl and CD formats, with several pressings that are worth seeking out on their own terms.
The collection runs nine titles deep. On the vinyl side: Black Lipstick on Red Vamp wax, Invisible People on Translucent Pink, Freedom Is Free on Pink and Blue Splatter, Cycles Of Existential Rhyme on Marbled Magma, the self-titled debut on Blue White, and Notebook Fantasy on Clear. Each pressing comes from ATO Records. On the CD side: the self-titled album as an RSD release, Invisible People on CD, and Notebook Fantasy on CD, all from ATO Records as well.
Why buy from Relix
Relix has been covering the intersection of psychedelia, soul, funk, and the exploratory edges of American music since 1974. That history informs what lands in this store. Beyond catalog titles, Relix produces the Relix Sessions series, live recordings produced by Relix and pressed to vinyl on the Relix Vinyl label, which gives a sense of how seriously the store takes the format. The Chicano Batman titles here were selected because they represent the full arc of the band's recorded output in formats worth owning physically.
Every title on this page is new and sealed. Vinyl ships in protective packaging designed for LPs. If a title shows a street date, it is available for pre-order and will ship when the label releases it. No earlier.
Chicano Batman sits comfortably at the crossroads of several currents this store follows closely. Browse Funk, Soul and R&B Vinyl Records for artists working in adjacent territory, or head to Colored Vinyl Records and Limited Variants if the Red Vamp, Translucent Pink, Marbled Magma, and Pink and Blue Splatter pressings brought you here for the wax itself. Fans of the band's more expansive live energy will find company in Live Vinyl Albums and Records, and the broader Rock Vinyl Records collection covers the wider neighborhood these records inhabit.
