Pink Floyd Records is the band's own imprint, established in 2016 to take direct control over how their catalog gets presented and preserved. The visual identity was built around custom lettering from the Animals album cover, which is the kind of attention to detail that tells you something about how seriously the operation is run. Remastering is handled primarily by James Guthrie, who has worked with the band since The Wall, and the 180-gram pressings are made to audiophile standards.
The catalog itself needs no introduction to anyone reading this. The Dark Side of the Moon spent more time on the Billboard 200 than any album in history. Wish You Were Here arrived two years later and matched it in a different key, grief and absence and the long shadow of Syd Barrett running through every track. Animals. Meddle, with Echoes taking up an entire side. The early psychedelic records from the Syd Barrett era. The Wall. A Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Division Bell from the Gilmour-led years that followed Roger Waters' departure.
What Pink Floyd Records has done with this catalog since 2016 is give collectors a reliable source for properly done reissues, anniversary editions with previously unreleased material, and packaging that respects the original artwork rather than cutting corners. The 50th anniversary edition of Wish You Were Here, released in late 2025, is a good example of the standard they hold themselves to.
If you're building a serious shelf, these are the pressings worth owning.
