For the listener who knows that bluegrass never really stopped moving forward, this page collects the progressive and jamgrass records worth owning on vinyl: the players who bent the tradition without breaking it, pressed to wax so the details hold.
The collection runs twenty-four titles. Billy Strings appears several times over, from Home (Vinyl 2xLP) and Renewal (Vinyl 2xLP) on Rounder Records to Live Vol. 1 (Vinyl 2xLP) on Reprise and Highway Prayers on 180g black vinyl. Kitchen Dwellers contribute two entries: Wise River on blue vinyl and the 2xLP The Relix Session on the Relix Vinyl label. Greensky Bluegrass shows up with XXV (Vinyl 2xLP, Indie Exclusive fruit punch pressing) and the RSD Black Friday 7" Stress Dreams: B Sides. Leftover Salmon's Let's Party About It is here on a deep yellow and purple twisted pressing. Yonder Mountain String Band offers Nowhere Next on green smoke vinyl alongside Good As True. The Infamous Stringdusters bring 20/20 as a 3xLP set, and Tony Rice's Church Street Blues rounds out the range on Craft Recordings.
Why buy from Relix
Relix has covered the Grateful Dead, Phish, and the wider jam and roots world since 1974, which means the store reflects genuine editorial knowledge rather than algorithmic trending. The Relix Sessions titles found here are live recordings produced by Relix and pressed to vinyl on the Relix Vinyl label, a series that sits at the center of what the store does differently. Every title in this collection was chosen because it belongs here, not because it filled a slot.
Records are new and sealed. Pre-order titles display a street date and ship when the label releases them. Vinyl ships in protective packaging designed for LPs.
If this page is the right neighborhood but you want to browse wider, the Bluegrass Vinyl & CDs collection covers the full genre across formats. For the acoustic and roots records that sit adjacent to this world, Americana, Folk & Country Vinyl Records is the natural next stop. Fans who follow the jam side of these artists will find more in Jam Band Vinyl Records, and the full store inventory of LPs is browsable at Vinyl LPs.
