Product Details
Q-Tip, Phife Dawg, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and Jarobi White built something in Queens that changed the architecture of hip-hop, weaving jazz samples and Afrocentric consciousness into a sound that influenced virtually every thoughtful rapper who followed. Compiled at the tail end of the group's original run, this collection traces the arc from the Native Tongues era through their rawer later work, making it a solid entry point for the uninitiated and a worthy shelf piece for longtime fans.
