Product Details
Alison Moyet built her reputation on the tension between warmth and electronics, first with Yazoo alongside Vince Clarke in the early 80s, then across a solo career that kept returning to that same live-wire connection between voice and machine. The Minutes arrived after a decade-long recording hiatus, and the partnership with Guy Sigsworth proved she had lost none of her gift for finding the human pulse inside cold circuitry.
The critically acclaimed electronic, synth-pop-driven album the minutes (2013) is reissued on a Deluxe Edition Double CD, featuring the original album, minutes and seconds - live, Live at Bush Hall, and remixes. Alison Moyet's eighth studio album is a spectacular return to her electronic roots. A bold new collaboration with writer/producer Guy Sigsworth, the album showcases an experimental, captivating and entirely cohesive collection of songs. Offering sharp synth lines, artful programming, and her signature commanding vocals, the album reached Number 5 on the UK Albums Chart. It features standout tracks like 'When I Was Your Girl', 'Changeling', and 'Filigree'.""Moyet's finest album in twenty years."" Clash (2013)
