Product Details

Ari Lennox arrived on *Shea Butter Baby* as one of the most distinctive neo-soul voices to emerge from the Dreamville roster, drawing clear lines back to Erykah Badu and Lauryn Hill while carving out something entirely her own. Released in 2019, the album earned her a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Album, a recognition that felt long overdue for a singer whose raw emotional pull had already made her a word-of-mouth favorite among soul heads.

Vinyl LP pressing. Shea Butter Baby is the debut studio album by singer and songwriter Ari Lennox. The album was executive produced by Dreamville producer Elite. In addition, the majority of the album was produced by Dreamville's in-house producers: J. Cole, Elite, Omen, Ron Gilmore, and Christo, among others.
