Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora Aksnes was barely 19 when her debut arrived in 2016, but the album's combination of Nordic folk atmosphere, electronic production, and her distinctively raw vocal delivery connected with listeners far beyond the usual pop channels, building a devoted following largely through word of mouth and the kind of obsessive repeat listening this community knows well.
