Product Details
Sixteen years passed before The Avalanches released a follow-up, which tells you everything about the obsessive craft baked into this record. Built entirely from crate-dug vinyl, it rewards the kind of deep listening that record collectors and heads who grew up chasing obscure 45s will immediately recognize, a sonic scavenger hunt where every layer reveals something new on the hundredth spin.
Since I Left You is the groundbreaking debut studio album by Australian electronic music group The Avalanches, originally released in 2000. The record is celebrated as a plunderphonics masterpiece, meticulously constructed from an estimated 3,500 to 9,000 distinct vinyl samples spanning decades of popular music. It delivers a seamless, kaleidoscopic, and uplifting audio journey that redefines the boundaries of electronic music and sample-based production.
