Baba Zula – XXX (CD)

Baba Zula have been the beating heart of Istanbul's psychedelic underground since the mid-1990s, threading electric saz and darbuka through smoke-machine haze in ways that feel equally at home in a Beyoğlu club or a European festival tent. Their sound draws a direct line from Anatolian rock pioneers like Erkin Koray while pushing into dub, electronica, and something genuinely unclassifiable. For listeners who found their way in through Sublime Frequencies or the broader global psych revival, this one rewards patience and volume.
