Released in 1998 after a four-year gap following *Ill Communication*, Hello Nasty debuted at number one in both the US and UK and swept the Grammy Awards, winning Best Rap Album and Best Rap Duo or Group Performance. MCA, Ad-Rock, and Mike D built the record around a sprawling mix of hip-hop, jazz samples, and their own live instrumentation, with Mix Master Mike's turntablism woven throughout as a fourth creative voice.

It's been a dozen years since the Beastie Boys broke, and on Hello Nasty, they show that--though they've grown up, matured, and just gotten older--they're still in touch with the inner brat that always made them so much fun.
