Black Sabbath – Seventh Star ( CD)

Seventh Star occupies a genuinely strange corner of the Sabbath catalog, conceived as a Tony Iommi solo record before label pressure rebranded it under the Black Sabbath name, a decision that followed Ozzy Osbourne's departure and Ronnie James Dio's exit and landed Glenn Hughes in the vocalist seat. The result is something harder to categorize than either camp wanted to admit, blues-soaked and melodic in ways the band's earlier work rarely allowed itself to be.
