Product Details

Debbie Harry and Chris Stein built Blondie out of the CBGB scene in the mid-70s, threading pop instincts through punk's raw energy in ways that made them genuinely singular. That restless eclecticism, moving from new wave to disco to hip-hop without ever losing their identity, is the thread running through five decades of work. High Noon lands as both a reunion of old collaborators and a farewell, carrying the particular weight of a band that knows exactly who they are.

Blondie are back with their first album in nine years, High Noon. Once again opening the door to a broad mix of sounds – rock & roll and punk sit alongside dance and Latin rhythms, with contributions from Johnny Marr, Glen Matlock, Zach Condon of Beirut, Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig of Lucius. Recorded in New York City alongside producers John Congleton (St. Vincent, The War On Drugs, The Killers) and David Wrench (Florence + The Machine, Jamie xx, Frank Ocean, Bon Iver), High Noon marks the final recording of Blondie co-founding drummer Clem Burke and serves as a document of one of rock music’s longest-running creative partnerships.
