Blues Traveler - October 1997 Relix Issue
The October 1997 Relix Issue features our Blues Traveler cover story and many other exciting stories! Blues Traveler was one of the first bands to step into the mainstream from the emerging genre known as improvisational rock. Blues Traveler, featuring John Popper (vocals and harmonica), Chan Kinchla (guitar), Bobby Sheehan (bass), and Brendan Hill (drums), has released several albums and made movie and television soundtracks as well as appearances. The band’s 1997 album, Straight on Till Morning shows an obvious maturity, but as the title implies, Blues Traveler's intention was not to grow old. The release exudes playable melodies and memorable hooks. In an interview, John Popper discussed the new album as well as the band's history and future intentions.
This issue additionally includes features and articles on The Grateful Dead, Phish, Neil Young, Dave Matthews, and Ricki Lee Jones. The Issue also includes interviews with Rob Wasserman, Leftover Salmon, John Fogarty, and Arlo Guthrie.
