Boards Of Canada – Geogaddi (3-LP Vinyl)

Warp Records' most enigmatic duo built Geogaddi over two years following the widespread cult adoption of Music Has the Right to Children, and the pressure of those expectations seems to have pushed them somewhere genuinely unsettling. Where their debut felt like childhood memory rendered in warm synthesis, this 2002 follow-up burrows deeper into shadow, wrapping hypnotic beats and degraded samples in an atmosphere that's been described as beautiful and deeply disquieting in equal measure.
