Product Details

Recorded across two cities and released at the peak of Dylan's electric controversy, *Blonde on Blonde* captured something that had never quite existed in popular music before: the sound of a poet running at full speed, backed by Nashville's finest session players meeting rock and roll on its own terms. The album's sprawling, late-night atmosphere, from the surrealism of "Visions of Johanna" to the Side 4 closer "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands," set a template for ambition that musicians are still chasing.

Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde Blonde on Blonde is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, originally released as a double album June 1966 by Columbia Records. Recording sessions began in New York in October 1965 with numerous backing musicians, and later moved to the CBS studios in Nashville, Tennessee.
