Liner Notes
Released in 1965, Highway 61 Revisited arrived like a detonation, the moment Dylan fully committed to the electric sound that scandalized folk purists and rewired rock and roll's possibilities. From the opening carnival bark of "Like a Rolling Stone" through the surrealist epic "Desolation Row," Dylan assembled a band, including Michael Bloomfield on guitar, that matched his lyrical ambition note for note. Fifty-plus years on, it still sounds like nothing before or after it.
This is the re-mastered reissue of Bob Dylan's 1965 album HIGHWAY 61.
