Product Details
Released in 1979, *Survival* arrived as one of Marley's most overtly political statements, drawing direct connections between the Rastafari movement and the struggles of newly independent African nations. The album's Pan-African vision, reflected in songs like "Zimbabwe" and "Africa Unite," felt prophetic at the time and only deepens with age. Pressed at the very Kingston facility Marley himself built, this edition carries a provenance that connects the music back to its source in a genuinely meaningful way.
Twelve limited-edition Bob Marley vinyl LP's, each numbered and pressed exclusively at the legendary Tuff Gong International headquarters in Kingston, Jamaica, will be available, featuring nine original studio albums and two original live albums, plus the world's best-selling reggae album, Legend, all including a highly-desirable Tuff Gong stamp.
Each album was mastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters in Los Angeles.
