Product Details

Justin Vernon recorded his debut in a Wisconsin cabin; for this self-titled follow-up, he opened the windows. Lush orchestration, full-band arrangements, and place names as song titles signal an artist consciously stepping out of isolation and into something larger, more communal, and harder to categorize.

Bon Iver's Bon Iver is Justin Vernon returning to former haunts with a new spirit. The reprises are there – solitude, quietude, hope and desperation compressed – but always a rhythm arises, a pulse vivified by gratitude and grace notes.
