Product Details
Boney James built his reputation the hard way, spending years as a sideman and session player before finding his voice as a leader, and that foundation shows in every note he plays. A Simple Man arrives at a point where few smooth jazz artists ever reach, two decades of studio work without losing the organic warmth that separates James from the pack. Larry Carlton's presence here is a genuine passing of the torch, one master of melodic economy to another.
Four-time GRAMMY® Award nominee and multi-platinum saxophone icon Boney James celebrates a remarkable milestone with A Simple Man, his 20th studio album. Featuring special guests Ledisi and Larry Carlton, the collection blends soulful melodies with the signature sound that has made James one of music’s most enduring artists. This uplifting and deeply personal album finds James at the height of his craft, reflecting on what matters most.
