Brymir – What We Leave Behind (CD)

Melodic death metal doesn't often reach for the kind of anthemic sweep that Finnish outfit Brymir has made their signature, blending orchestral arrangements with northern European folk sensibility and hard-hitting riffs that owe as much to Amon Amarth as to film scores. *What We Leave Behind* lands as the band's most ambitious statement yet, a record built around themes of legacy and loss that resonate well beyond the metal underground. Fans of Wintersun and Insomnium will find a lot to hold onto here.
