Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington recorded *Psychic* in 2013 after road-testing much of the material on a tour supporting Daft Punk, and that live-first approach is palpable throughout. The record sits in the same late-night headphone territory as classic Tangerine Dream or early Pink Floyd, but with a rhythmic undertow that pulls it somewhere entirely its own.
Darkside is the collaborative duo of critically acclaimed electronic artist Nicolas Jaar and guitarist/composer Dave Harrington. Darkside summon a hybrid of electronic music, psychedelic rock, and dance floor techno with the sort of artistic depth and breadth for which the term "progressive" was coined.
