David Bowie – Shel Talmy Recordings (CD)

Shel Talmy was the American producer behind some of the most important records to come out of mid-1960s London, working with The Kinks and The Who before their sounds fully crystallized. These early Bowie sessions capture a young David Jones still finding his footing, years before Ziggy or the Thin White Duke, when British R&B, mod pop, and raw ambition were pointing toward something nobody could yet name.
