Recorded at the Grand Hotel in Montreux, Switzerland in December 1971 using the Rolling Stones' Mobile Studio, Machine Head captured a band at the absolute peak of their Mark II lineup, with "Smoke on the Water" documenting the casino fire that interrupted those very sessions. Dweezil Zappa, himself a lifelong student of guitar tone and studio craft, brings fresh ears to Roger Glover's original tracks without disturbing what made this one of hard rock's foundational documents.

1lp black vinyl (breakout). This 1-LP black vinyl version features the 2024 Dweezil Zappa remixes of the revered album. Analog Planet lauds "Dweezils' mix of Machine Head here is clearly an improvement over the original mix, while also honouring the album's original vibe and intent.
