Deep Purple – Made In Japan (2-LP Vinyl)

Recorded over three nights in Osaka and Tokyo in August 1972, *Made in Japan* captured the Mark II lineup, Gillan, Blackmore, Lord, Glover, and Paice, at the absolute peak of their collective power, turning *Machine Head* deep cuts and extended improvisations into something that rivaled anything happening in rock at the time. For serious collectors, the purple vinyl pressing from Rocktober 2019 is exactly the kind of artifact this music deserves.
