Bradford Cox wrote much of *Fading Frontier* during recovery from a serious car accident, and that experience of fragility and renewal runs through every gauzy, sun-bleached track. The album finds Deerhunter at their most melodically open, trading some of their earlier noise-damaged edges for something closer to Southern psychedelic warmth, without ever losing the eerie undertow that makes this Atlanta band so distinctive.
Released worldwide on Friday, October 16th, 2015 via 4AD. Produced by Ben H. Allen III & Deerhunter at Maze Studios (Atlanta, GA) in May 2015. Deerhunter are Moses Archuleta, Bradford Cox, Josh McKay and Locket Pundt.
