Deftones – Adrenaline (LP Vinyl)

Sacramento's Deftones arrived fully formed with this 1995 debut, a record that planted them squarely at the intersection of alternative metal and something far more atmospheric and unpredictable than their peers. Chino Moreno's vocal approach, shifting between aggression and near-whispered vulnerability, signaled from the start that this band was operating on a different emotional frequency than the nu-metal scene that would soon claim them as icons.
