Sacramento's Deftones arrived at *Koi No Yokan* after one of the more turbulent stretches in their history, and the album reflects a band fully in command of the tension between brutality and beauty that has defined their sound since the mid-90s. The Japanese phrase translating roughly to the feeling of inevitably falling in love captures something essential about how this record moves, heavy and hypnotic in equal measure.
Limited vinyl LP pressing. 2012 album from the Northern California-based Hard Rock/Alt0Metal band. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, CA with Nick Raskulinecz (Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters, Rush) who also produced their 2010 album Diamond Eyes.
