Product Details

Donna Summer's catalog sits at a crossroads that most artists never reach, where R&B, pop, electronic production, and sheer vocal power collided to reshape what mainstream music could be. Her collaborations with producers Giorgio Moroder and Pete Bellotte essentially invented the sonic blueprint that still runs through dance music today. If you're coming to this through the Broadway show, the records themselves hit harder and stranger than any stage adaptation can fully capture.

2018 release. Summer: The Original Hits features Donna Summer's classic hits that inspired a Broadway musical, serving as a soundtrack to an extraordinary career in which Donna busted barriers and genres to become the "Queen of Disco" and a member of the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. Included are the #1 smashes "Love to Love You Baby," "MacArthur Park," "No More Tears (Enough Is Enough)" with Barbra Streisand, "Hot Stuff," "Bad Girls," "She Works Hard For the Money," and so much more.
