Donny Hathaway – Now Playing (LP Vinyl)
Donny Hathaway Vinyl Records
Product Details
Donny Hathaway remains one of soul music's most devastating losses, a pianist and vocalist whose command of dynamics and emotion put him in a category few have reached before or since. His collaborations with Roberta Flack produced some of the most enduring recordings of the 1970s, while his solo work captured a raw spiritual ache that connected directly to the gospel tradition he grew up in. For collectors, having these performances on vinyl is the only way to fully appreciate the warmth he coaxed from a studio.
This Now Playing shines the spotlight on Donny Hathaway with a tracklist that spans soulful themes of love, hope, and introspection. It includes iconic songs like "The Ghetto - Part 1," "A Song For You," and "Where Is The Love" featuring Roberta Flack, showcasing his emotive vocals and poignant lyrics. This collection also delves into social issues with tracks like "Little Ghetto Boy" and ends on a hopeful note with "Someday We'll All Be Free," leaving a lasting impact with it's soul-stirring melodies and messages of resilience.
