Recorded during a period when Duran Duran were operating at full commercial velocity, *Seven and the Ragged Tiger* captured a band navigating sudden global fame while pushing toward a more textured, rhythmically complex sound than their earlier new wave work. The Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Andy Taylor songwriting partnership leaned heavily on studio experimentation, and Nile Rodgers' remix of "The Reflex" transformed an already strong track into something that dominated radio on both sides of the Atlantic.
Vinyl LP pressing. Originally released in 1983, Seven and the Ragged Tiger was the final Duran album with the original five members (until 2004). This third album was the first of Duran's to reach #1 in the UK charts. 'The Reflex' was remixed by Nile Rodgers and released as the third single on the album, it became the first US and second UK #1 single.
