Portland's Elliott Smith spent the 1990s redefining what a solo acoustic record could carry emotionally, building from his early Kill Rock Stars releases to increasingly orchestrated work before his death in 2003. On November 2nd Kill Rock Stars will release An Introduction to...Elliott Smith on CD and 180 gram vinyl. The album features fourteen tracks compiled from all seven of Elliott Smith's albums (including his albums on Geffen): Roman Candle, Elliott Smith, Either/Or, XO, Figure 8, From A Basement on the Hill, and New Moon.
