Released in 1977, Declan MacManus introduced himself to the world as Elvis Costello with a debut that landed like a thunderclap in the middle of punk's rise, though it owed as much to Stax soul and Merseybeat as it did to any three-chord rebellion. Recorded with Clover, the California country-rock outfit, rather than a proper punk band, the sessions produced something far more durable than the moment it arrived in.
Elvis Costello's classic debut album, My Aim Is True, has been remastered and cut from the original 1977 analog master tapes. This is an all-analog production. The 13-song collection features the acclaimed singles "Alison," "Watching The Detectives," and "(The Angels Wanna Wear My) Red Shoes" on 180g black vinyl.
