The RCA Studio on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood served as Elvis's recording home during a pivotal stretch of the early-to-mid '70s, when he was simultaneously at his commercial peak and pushing deeper into country, gospel, and soul territory than his pop profile often suggested. Hearing these sessions stripped of their original orchestral overdubs pulls back the curtain on the live-in-the-room chemistry between Elvis and the road-hardened musicians who knew his instincts cold.

The 2-LP collection features highlights from Sunset Boulevard, a comprehensive 5-CD collection of Elvis's recordings at RCA's historic Sunset Boulevard studio. These sessions capture Elvis recording for the first time with his legendary touring band. Spawning the hits "Burning Love", "Always On My Mind" (1972) and "T-R-O-U-B-L-E" (1975) from the TODAY album, this album features newly mixed versions of select recordings and outtakes, pure and without overdubs.
