Frank Ocean – Channel Orange (2-CD)
Product Details
Channel Orange arrived in July 2012 and immediately reframed what R&B could hold, weaving together funk, soul, and stream-of-consciousness storytelling across a sprawling, 17-track debut that felt closer to a novel than a pop record. Ocean wrote with a novelist's specificity, centering characters and vignettes that lingered long after the music stopped, and his open letter acknowledging his first love being a man, published just days before the album's release, added a layer of cultural weight rarely attached to a debut.
