Damon Albarn's restless post-Blur experiment landed at the turn of the millennium as something genuinely strange and addictive, blending hip-hop, dub, and indie rock through a cast of cartoon characters conceived with artist Jamie Hewlett. Del the Funky Homosapien's verse on "Clint Eastwood" introduced the project to a generation that had no idea what to make of it, which was exactly the point.
GORILLAZ - VINYL LP - Gorillaz is the debut album by the British virtual band Gorillaz, released in 2001. It includes the singles "Clint Eastwood", "19-2000", "Rock the House" and "Tomorrow Comes Today". The album reached #3 in the UK and #14 in the US.
