Gorillaz – Plastic Beach (CD)

Damon Albarn's restless curiosity has always made Gorillaz something more than a cartoon band, and *Plastic Beach* is where that ambition peaked. Released in 2010, it pulled in Snoop Dogg, Lou Reed, Bobby Womack, and Mark E. Smith alongside orchestral arrangements and Albarn's signature melancholy, building a dystopian concept record about oceanic pollution that felt genuinely cinematic. The guest list reads like a fever dream, but the emotional core is unmistakably Albarn's.
