Recorded in just three weeks in Los Angeles in early 2018, "The Now Now" finds Albarn working in an unusually stripped-back mode, leaning into lonelier, more introspective territory than the sprawling ensemble approach of its predecessor "Humanz." The result is one of the most cohesive and quietly melancholic entries in the Gorillaz catalog, a late-night record that rewards headphone listening.
heavyweight black vinyl 12” LP in spined sleeve, with printed inner bag and download card.
The sixth full-length studio release for the Damon Albarn's animated band features guest appearances from George Benson, Jamie Principle and Snoop Dogg.
