Jay Watson and Ambrose Kenny-Smith bring together two of the most restlessly creative corners of the Australian psych underground, Watson through his work anchoring the rhythmic and sonic architecture of Pond and Tame Impala, Kenny-Smith as the harp-playing, harmonica-blowing wild card at the center of King Gizzard's sprawling universe and The Murlocs' ramshackle blues. Ill Times finds these two kindred spirits stretching out together, and the deluxe pressing adds four tracks to flesh out what was already a deeply collaborative statement.

Presenting the Deluxe Version of GUM & Ambrose Kenny-Smith - Ill Times. This expanded version of the 2024 album features four extra songs and is now available to retailer for the first time. This project is made of Jay Watson (GUM, Pond, Tame Impala) and Ambrose Kenny-Smith (King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, The Murlocs). These records have been sustainably made via injection mold technology and are made from PET plastic (the same plastic as water bottles).
