Hibushibire – Phantom Fuzzy Exotica (LP Vinyl)

Osaka's Hibushibire operate in the tradition of Japanese psychedelic rock that stretches back through Flower Travellin' Band and Les Rallizes Dénudés, but they channel it through a fuzzed-out, krautrock-inflected lens that feels genuinely unhinged. Their live reputation for extended, feedback-soaked improvisation gives even their studio work a sense of volatility just below the surface.
