Product Details
Rural Missouri doesn't produce many artists willing to stare down their own darkness with this much precision, but Av Freeman has built something rare: a catalog that feels like a lifeline to listeners who recognize themselves in it. This vinyl pressing of Hara-Kiri arrives as the project crosses a quarter-billion streams, making the physical release a tangible artifact for a fanbase that's been hungry for one.
Honestav is one of the fastest-rising new voices blending alternative, folk, and hip-hop into a raw, emotionally driven sound. Hailing from rural Missouri, Av Freeman has built a passionate fanbase through brutally honest songwriting centered around loss, addiction, mental health, and survival. His breakout single "I'd Rather Overdose" became a viral success in 2024, helping introduce listeners to his emotionally unfiltered storytelling and genre-blending sound. He went on to release his debut EP hara-kiri in late 2024, which peaked at #10 on Apple Music's Alternative chart and has since surpassed 260M+ streams globally. He followed with hara-kiri (Deluxe) in 2025, supporting the project with his sold-out 45-date "No License" Tour and multiple festival appearances. Most recently, "I'd Rather Overdose" was certified Gold, with the plaque presented to him on stage by mgk during the Australian leg of the Lost Americana Tour, further cementing honestav's rise as one of alternative music's most compelling new voices.
