Tony Iommi and Glenn Hughes first joined forces on Black Sabbath's 1986 album *Seventh Star*, a pairing that always felt like unfinished business, two of British rock's most distinctive voices finding genuine chemistry in the low end. *Fused*, released in 2005, gave them the space to see that connection through on their own terms, with Hughes bringing the same soulful power he carried through his Deep Purple and Trapeze years.
