Product Details
Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" had been recorded dozens of times before Jeff Buckley made it something else entirely on *Grace*, his sole studio album released in 1994. Buckley's four-octave vocal range and the band's dynamic tension between delicacy and full-band assault gave these songs a live-wire intensity that has only deepened with time, influencing a generation of singers who've spent careers trying to understand how he did it.
