Ian Anderson's flute-driven progressive rock was never supposed to work on paper, yet Jethro Tull spent the early 1970s racking up hits while simultaneously confounding every category radio programmers tried to impose on them. This compilation draws from one of the band's most commercially potent stretches, when Anderson and guitarist Martin Barre were operating at a creative peak that few British rock acts could match.

Originally released in 1972, the album is a collection of singles, album tracks and outtakes which charted across the world. The new 2LP, Still Living in the Past, features Steven Wilson remixes of the original album and 1971 master mixes of the closing tracks.
