Joe Henderson arrived at the Lighthouse in 1970 at a pivotal moment, when jazz was in open conversation with the rhythms and urgency of the world outside the club. His tenor saxophone had already anchored landmark Blue Note sessions throughout the '60s, and this live date captures him pushing further into electric and modal territory alongside a remarkably deep band that included Woody Shaw and a young Lenny White, fresh off his work with Miles Davis.

Originally recorded and released in 1970, the Joe Henderson Quintet, At The Lighthouse: If You're Not Part Of The Solution, You're Part Of The Problem sees the influential jazz fusion sax player performing at the legendary venue in Hermosa Beach, California. Joined by George Cables, Ron McClure, Woody Shaw, Tony Waters and Lenny White the original album contained 6 live cuts. The 3-disc Deluxe Editions are available on CD or Vinyl, and include unreleased tracks (*) along with new liner notes from author Eugene Holley Jr.
